About the team

Geoff was born and raised in Bridport. He is a retired Environmental Health practitioner having spent 45 years working for local authorities in Dorset and Somerset. He specialised in Housing standards and during his time as Head of Housing at West Dorset District Council he oversaw a range of affordable housing developments and worked closely with the voluntary sector developing domestic energy efficiency and renewable energy initiatives. Geoff is a keen sportsman, having played football and cricket for local teams.

John is an Engineer: qualified in Aeronautical Engineering with a Masters in Project Management. John has extensive project management experience, spent 24 year in the Army, and designed, manufactured and produced a range of unique vehicles as the Operations Director for General Dynamics, Universal Engineering and Force Protection Europe.  Since 2012, John has been involved with the installation, maintenance and repair of Solar PV systems. He is passionate about the environment and also runs a sustainable fashion and fabrics brand based in Dorset.

DCE Secretary Lucy’s background is in data management but her true love is the outdoors and when she isn’t answering your emails and enquiries, you’ll most often find her in the sea, foraging in the woods or exploring the coast.
